We are looking forward to hosting the first-ever European MACE ARMOR Group (EuroMAG) where we will be demonstrating and training the latest capabilities of MACE, showcasing our 3D visualization in ARMOR, and discussing the MACE/ARMOR road map.  For those who have registered, we hope it will be a great training opportunity to learn how best MACE and ARMOR can work in your environment, all while meeting and working with the team behind the development of these products.

What to Bring and What we Will Provide

Equipment

You need to bring your own computer capable of running MACE (and ARMOR if using) – We cannot provide laptops The seating will be at semi circular tables with power outlets – with instructor at the front using a large screen. (don’t forget your UK power adaptor and your glasses!)

BSI will provide software keys during the event, so no need to bring any hardware keys you might have.

Software

We will be using the most up-to-date pre-release versions of our software because we want to show you the new features and get your feedback (we can’t promise there won’t be any bugs but what you find we will fix!). We will advise what version of the software we are using 7 days before the event so that (if you want to) you can download and install it in advance. We will have several have hard-drives at the event with software and data for you to copy if you don’t download in advance.

  • Recommended ARMOR Version – 8 Sep or Later Production installer
  • Recommended MACE Version – 10 Sep or later ALPHA installer
  • Missions and other data – See EuroMAG folder in MACE Download
  • Developers Visual Studio Templates: CustomMacePlugin.vsix and MaceCommandInstaller.vsix  – MACE_Development>Visual Studio Templates>Visual_Studio_2022

When the versions are confirmed, you can download MACE & ARMOR.

Note that if you do not have an existing account on our downloads page, you will need to request one prior to downloading the software, requests can be made directly on the downloads website.  To get things up and running ahead of the MUG, download our MACE-ARMOR Quick Start Guide to get you started.

If you require more information to gain approval from your IT support to install MACE and related software, please contact us at support@bssim.com.

Data

Maps: We will have a BSI Map server available on the local network to provide mapping to MACE and other terrain data files for terrain generation.

Terrain: We will mostly be using the Sardinia Terrain (for all the Basic Training and most of the advanced) and occasionally some Pacific Northwest on the advanced course. If you want to download ARMOR terrain and some imagery for use with MACE before hand please do, it will save time copying from hard drives on day 1.

Other Data: You can also download the sample imagery and DTED for MACE if you want some more data sources to train with. Closer to the event, we may post some sample missions and data for use within the training that you can also download.
